‘In the grand scheme of things, it was nothing. No more than one event in a long history of events. But afterwards, we decided to wipe the slate clean. We closed the doors of the laboratories with one hand and wrote them out of history with the other. We find ourselves in a world terrified of science. Like stunned children surrounded by a maze of dominoes, scared to reach out and examine one closer lest that action should mean the end of everything.’

‘Humanity is a dice with an infinite number of sides. When it is thrown, as we have been, who knows which one it will come to rest on? Who cares?’
